UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

thank you! at the moment its not on the DLS as it's nowhere near finished haha. There is a 1996 stock by Andi06 (I think) for your deep level section :)

Yeah i know of that stock but its lacking detail. (not being rude just I'm that type of person that has to have detailed stuff lol) i found this person working on the A stock, 2009 Stock and S Stock :D :udrool:

and she? has made a very high detailed track which I'm loving atm (in the process of swapping the track on the route lol )

its a shame there isn't 3rd and non elc track version :/ - reason being is for the track switches so i can make them look a bit more realist (see images)

SnakeLight64, wow, that track looks really good! I hope the A stock gets released soon too! Your route's looking smashing! :D

Just one more of Barnhurst, tried to do an 'atmospheric' morning shot...

Cheers Mightyena and yes the track is amazing, it's making the route much more better looking :D (you don't happen to know of a good detailed 3rd rail track? this is for my Overground line) and yeah the route is coming along I've got 4 stations at the mo and the AI seems to be running perfect (which I'm amazed it is running well) anyways i might chase up on the A stock, S Stock & 2009 Stock.

Edit: Nevermind about the 3rd rail track, just found what i was looking for :D

well for normal and 3rd rail I use NEX track (wooden) by NexusDJ:
mightyena_20120710_0002.jpg

not sure if that's useful to you? It also comes in clean and rusty versions, with wooden and concrete sleepers, and a 3rd rail spline (in case you want to add a 4th rail or do the 3rd rail manually)

yeah, it's amazing when the AI does what it's supposed to do, right now if I tell my train to stop at Barnhurst 2 it'll enter the station at 65mph, go half a mile up the line and then stop and say "no path to destination"

I know. My AI says it wants to go the wrong way down the tracks, even with track direction markers pointing the other way. If it finds another train, the AI instead of going into the siding next to it, it just pulls up to the train, then says "Waiting for track clearance!" Then, when I use Stop Train to take control, I put it on the right track, then it instantly takes the next crossover to the wrong track, then says "No Path To Destination". I have to have crossovers at every station!

Yeah thanks i just noticed them not long after i posted lol cheers!

Ahha i must be lucky and i'm not using track direction markers  although i did speak too soon cause my train decided to go the wrong way done the line as a train was coming up so it caused a huge traffic jam haha :n:

they should change it from AI To AD (Artificial Dumbness):hehe:

or just keep it as AI (Artificial Idiocy) :hehe:

Ahha i must be lucky and i'm not using track direction markers
I tend to only use direction markers at Termini junctions, and it seems to work well for me, trains go perfectly down the correct lines. It's just getting the stupid things to stop when they get to the stations

haha at least the expresses work (the AI does still obey signals, thank goodness)

and a couple of shots of the route that caused so many weird AI problems...

It's funny, as soon as I started working on the Awsworth branch (pictured above) the AI started throwing weird tantrums and refused to travel over certain sections of track. Once it went so out of its way to avoid a section it ended up derailing itself...

haha, you gotta give it to the programmers, I'm a programmer(novice) myself and there's always gonna be a few bugs in some scripts, big or small.
also, nice shots :)

haha I know, all in all they've done a fantastic job with the AI, it's just annoying when it randomly does something wacky, and I just sit there like:  errm, what just happened? seems to me it's been programmed for the complex commands and handles those really well, but fails epically at the simple go from A to B via C :hehe:

Haha thanks, my route seems to be coming along nicely lately. I've managed to bring it to the first station with reversing facilities - Stonewall Vale:

Still very much WIP and half built... Now, just need to build a place for the trains to reverse at the OTHER end of the line haha :o

Great shots all :D

@ Mightyena : That track is a reskin of Samplaire's low poly track which will see a release at some stage , probably with the next update of Midshire . I'm still weighing up which versions to produce in the NEX track range .

@ Snakelight64 : I have a 4th rail version of my wooden sleepered stitched mesh track already done ,it shouldn't take long to make a rusty version plus build some custom LU concrete sleepers for the concrete versions . They'll appear on the DLS eventually but if you join the British Trainz forum http://forum.british-trainz.co.uk/ (blatant plug ;) and apologies if already a member) then you can get them as soon as they are ready .

Nothing to do with 4th rail .... ;)

London North - a fictional 12 platform terminus station. End of my mainline route which is approx 90 baseboards in length. My first attempt at using the AJS Station Kit templates. Makes platform alignment so much easier :)

Yeah i was just like that i'm testing my route now with a loop at one end and the other end is a terminating station and its only 4 stations and i've got 5 trains running all fine! O_O

EDIT: Spoke too soon, derailed a train, myself. Yeah kind of a failure. so make that 4 trains running.

Great shots all :D
