My first screenshots for a while. I''ve been super-detailing Razor's lovely Ashburton route which is basically a one board layout depicting the well known GWR brachline terminus. I've upgraded the track and a lot of the detail as I have a fairly powerful PC, while retaining the landscaping, terrain etc. To distinguish it from Razor's original, I've re-titled it 'Asburton' - see what you think....
Under a beautiful mid-summer cloudless sky pannier tank 3669 waits with vans on the Tucker's Maltings siding as the morning 'rush' gets under way.
The 'local' heads out of Asburton with green 14xx class and maroon auto-coach heading past the signal box and small locoshed and turntable. [Note: Ashburton never had a signal box and the turntable was long gone by the end of passenger working in 1958.]
The 'cross-country' hoves into view later that morning. I think the schoolboys are going to get a bit of a surprise!
The cross-country working in the hands of 51xx class 6109 steams towards the station.
Arriving in the terminus, 6109 shelters from the early morning sun under the distinctive overall roof that distinguishes this branchline terminus.
Many thanks to Razor for creating this layout that inspired me to add the detailing.
