The track work is loosely based on Dewsbury. I have a few versions of it, but this one has yet to have brick piers added to the high walls. The high level track was laid on a raised baseboard, which was then dug out for the roads and canal. This left the track, which is on a steady gradient, suspended for quite some distance. The retaining walls and girder work were added, which still left the roads and canal showing through the track. Tiles of 'Bloc de macadam - kuid:64819:37397' were dropped onto the baseboard where this occurred and raised up underneath the track to cover what was beneath.
There is a critical point (one step) between where the tile covers the track (too high) and where the objects below show through (too low). The track being on a gradient was a bit of a problem, but not much of one. @bloc de macadam' would be handy to have in different geometric shapes, such as equilateral triangle and it smaller sizes, but I just managed coverage in the awkward places.
