Belfast - York Road
Harcourt - I'm not sure what moves me most about your reconstruction of York Road, the skill and authentic feel of your work, or the sheer nostalgia of it. My most recent memory of the old York Road station was at the end of a trip in the cab of a MPD from Derry in 1957.
I am (very slowly) creating a route around the Ards Peninsula, in a bid to attract more tourism and reduce traffic congestion.
It is powered by electricity generated by submerged turbines driven by the exceptional tidal currents in the Strangford Narrows. When there is something really worth showing, I'll post some screenshots. One day it may get through Newtownards and try to find its way into Belfast. It may be difficult to link up with NIR - a few things in the way! Perhaps I ought instead have been creating the route the businessmen in Portaferry were campaigning for in the late 1800s and build it with the open land then available.
Please keep up the good work. It is wonderful.
Peter
