UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

I have made Truro. And Truro is the mainline station I use most (either go from there directly or from Penryn station, then change at Truro).
There are 4 sidings there. the 2 that go round the back of the carpark stop where the level crossing road is. There is then one which goes down to the Cornwall Farmers complex, which I don't think is used anymore. That area used to be a big yard in the days of steam. The is then a short siding which ends just beneath the long footbridge at the end of the station.

Interesting!
The 66 I saw had its train split over two of the sidings with some sort of crane or excavator helping to load it.. not sure what it was being loaded with?

They were very big wagons though, I can't remember what type..

Love the pics of Penzance!
How far off are you from completing the route? It must be pretty long as if I remember rightly it takes nearly or over 2 hours to get from Truro to Plymouth, or is it 1hour..

I have just seen photos on Fotopic, the person who took them takes photos around the area quite alot, and he is the signal man for Truro.
Apparently the crane was loading sand into the MEA wagons. The sand was needed for a ship in Falmouth Docks.
There are still lines running down to the docks which diverge from the branchline just before Falmouth Docks station, but I don't think they have been used for a few years at least.
I also wonder how they managed to do this, as with the new passing loop at Penryn, there are two trains running at once, so the line is always occupied, unless it ran later in the evening when just a single train runs the branch.

So far I have completed St Austell to Penzance, and the Falmouth and St Ives branches. Line gradients and scenery needs improving between St Austell and Saltash (Most of St Austell to Par is now done), and the Newquay and Looe branches. The devon side of the Tamar however is a different story, only the St Budeaux area of Plymouth is done. So St Budeaux to Plymouth is just the orignal DEM texturing at the moment, the same with the Gunnislake branch. So lots to do on the Devon side.

Its 80 miles from Penzance to Plymouth with St Austell being the half way marker at 40 miles from both. It takes 2 hours from Penzance to Plymouth, and 1hr 20 from Truro to Plymouth.

Think thats the most I have written since i left school :hehe: :hehe:

EarlyMorningGlyndhampton.jpg

Early morning travellers look on as the first train of the day from Catbridge (bound for Brighton) arrives at Glyndhampton and a London Victoria bound stopper pauses for custom.

(incidentally, is there any way to stop that effect that causes Eurostar's EPB cars becoming see through at certain angles in 09 - as clearly shown in the screenie?)

I am severely impressed with TS10 and the draw distance. I put it up to 5000m for a laugh knowing my PC couldnt handle more than 1500m on ts09 without issues..

However on s&c on TS10, putting it up for a laugh was not a laugh it was a shock.. perfect framerate and god doesn't TS10 look good? I didn't realise!

Maybe theres some sort of placebo going on here.. but I don't recall running TS09 with anti alias on at full res with full draw distance. Native mode works ey?

Sadly Jpgs do ruin the original bmp screenshots that were clear as hell!

And a few screens of my nearing completion fictional Princethorpe - Glenister route (TRS2004) - nowhere near as impressive. Oh and one from Along UTA Lines.

The Bullhead track is on the DS, although I am not sure it is specifically for 09 as I use it in 2004 and I got it off the DS.
Not sure which version of Trainz you use. If you don't have 2010 then you won't be able to download content made for it.

When downloading locos I tend to use TrainzDownloaderPro as it automatically gets the other assets needed, but if you have a CMx based Trainz then that should do the same job.

BIG SCREENS WARNING!

Been doing some work recently on some routes in TC3:
screen044d.jpg

The Midland route crosses the old NER line, whose fate is uncertain due falling traffic levels.
screen019.jpg

A 5MT prepares to leave Beeley.
screen047i.jpg

Crossing the motorway.

Rumor3 has done an even better version of his bullhead track for '09 and later. Unfortunately, CMP, CM2 etc can see content for later versions on the DLS, and if I recall correctly, download them. They just don't work...

I guess this might be becoming a little irritating for TRS06 users. It even happens in CM2 for TS2009.

That's annoying. Wouldn't it be possible to download the assets to your hard drive using the ftp option or TrainzDownloaderPro (so avoiding CMx from doing it) and then Importing the cdp from where you placed it on your drive?

Just ordered 2010 - taken to dive into the deep end! Well, I said I would some time ago and I try not to break my word.

Just going off to change my Siggy.
