A Pendolino, running an excursion for Virgin Trains and Network Rail management, causes chaos at East Chingford when it's realised that it's too long for the signalling section and ends up closing the station for 15 minutes whilst officials set it's route back up by hand!

Curious onlookers watch as 390011 passes Church Road with the management excursion - which was being run in connection with Virgin's bid for the ICEC franchise.

It's avaible on the UKTrainz forum.

A GWR 51xx passes Dinmore Manor on its way to Gloucester south.

The route is a work in progress, its a fictional GWR themed route.;)

I think if you used custom platforms (i.e splines) then you'd get much closer to the real thing than if you restrict yourself to using pre-built straight platforms, I've only been there once myself but from what I remember the platforms are slightly curved and a lot wider. And yes your engineers need to take a look at that third rail ;)

JB

Actually, I did notice about the third rail after I'd posted the pic!

The route is only a bit of fun and is not meant to be a completely accurate one so I have used straight platforms on all the stations.

Perhaps when I have a bit more time, I'll do a more accurate layout especially since I bought the book "Railway Track Diagrams" No5 "England South & London Underground". ISBN 1-898319-52-9
