Looks good to start with RJL.
It nice to see some one is still doing Freeware Steam locos as there are so few. So keep up the good work. I hope you will also consider doing a standard 5.

Really nice shots everyone. Couldn't sleep last night so I got up early and knocked this together. It's loosely based on Dewsbury Midland, a station of the past. The bridges are AJS Portal Wing Wall splines and FMA girders. I did a thing about it in the Tip and Tricks-Surveyor thread.

The spline that's holding up the track in the first and second shot is damm, by Niffi.

Thanks for the memory...

Hi Ex,
Thanks for putting my WCL1 route up again, brought a tear to my eye and many fond memories.
I must have another run on that myself, it's been a while now....

Great looking shots Escafeld but surely you mean Dewsbury Central? The Midland station was a very short lived terminus.I visited the remains of Dewsbury Central in 1978, and saw a magnificent P4 scale model of ot at an exhibition a couple of years ago.

I was looking through my back editions of Railway Modeller and an article about Dewsbury Midland is in the December 1973 edition and written by Arthur Whitehead. A line drawing shows the tail-end of a platform with canopies and the road and river bridges. What precedes either end, I have no idea. I looked at the area in maps.live.com, which shows the area quite clearly in 3D. The article goes on to say that there never was a Dewsbury Midland passenger station, just goods throughout its length, but I wasn't interested in reading the article until now, just doing the railway from the drawing, which obviously has some artistic licence.

Thanks anyway.

BTW, I'm hoping that FMA will produce some very tall weathered brick walls so that I can replace the AJS ones, which are very good, but look out of place here. Did anyone at FMA 'hear' that?

I 'hear' you clearly, Dave
From my side there is a huge problem: I'm lost and wasting time in the real life (and enjoy it...) I switched off my home computer ten weeks ago or more - and it's no great miss. So I can't promise any Trainz-products in the nearly future.
This is not a farewell. This is just a long holiday.

kindly regards
vendel / Gábor

BTW how tall wall do you think?
