UK Rolling Stock with wrong Horn Sounds

Hi. Locomotives and multiple units like class 57 66 81 166 165 321 and 456 on the DLS use wrong horn sounds from other locomotives and multiple units. With any reskins new releases or reworked rolling stock that are going to the DLS I highly recommend searching the classes number or multiple units number on the DLS and finding the current horn sound of the locomotive or multiple unit. With searching the DLS type in class and the number of the loco or multiple unit and you will find the horn sound. Just a suggestion.

Never mind the horn sounds, the correct cab would be nice, lol. try driving a class 08 with a Class 37 cab. I can,t think of anything more stupid. And that is just one example. And while I,m on my soapbox the correct engine sound would be handy. I can,t see the point of creating a locomotive with a realistic looking skin if the rest of it is crap. Here endeth my rant.

We look forward to picking over the faults of your first loco like a pack of wild buzzards !!

As for engine / horn sounds please feel free to produce your own and upload them to the DLS !!

It's so easy to sit at the side and criticize when you don't actually have to do any of the work !

Quick check on the DLS for uploads for username "colourlight" throws up "NO DOWNLOADS FOUND" !?

You could go mad and make a cab or two, Blender is free and there are tutorials around.

Thanks John

That'll keep him busy for the next several years and annoy the community with all sorts of interesting questions that can be found using the search button. On a serious note, colourlight, do you have any idea how much time it takes to make a cab from scratch? Hornsound? Easy, if we can source a decent recording, cabs? Don't go there.

This will give you some idea of a basic cab, now this is basic, to add functions to it, to add all sorts of items that make the cab look right, react correctly and works on everyones computer: http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials_TRS2004/GmaxLocomotiveInteriorTutTRS.htm

(And yes, I have made a few cabs, I just haven't had a chance to complete them yet - some lack material to complete them, e.g the Class 308 cab, some I keep running out of time!)

Hush, make it sound easy, encourage him to get started, he deserves a bit of frustration. Why shouldn't we spread the joys of making content.:hehe:

Cheerio John
