UK Caravans

AutoSleepers are fairly small, certainly compared with the American-style motorhomes built on 'bus-like chassis. For example, ours was 18 feet long (well under 6 metres), built on a VW Transporter chassis.

Edit: Can you remember what make it was

Most certainly can. It was an AutoSleeper Clubman GL on VW 2.4 diesel which we had for ten years, some years spending up to 100 nights in it - camp sites, club rallies, etc. At one time this model was outselling all other AutoSleeper models. I must emphasise that AutoSleeper is a make, made by AutoSleepers Ltd of Willersey in Gloucestershire. Unfortunately, like 'Hoover', the name is often used as a generic term for the smaller motorhomes - which pleases neither the makers nor the members of the very flourishing Owners' Club ( of which I had the honour of being Chairman for three years.)

Thanks for making the start - it's a good basis for a model!

Spammer reported

@Euphod - as this followed my last post re motorhomes (replying to privite) I assumed that this must be what you were referring to. The only possible problem I could see was my reference to an illustration on a commercial site - so I edited my post to remove the link.

If I have transgressed in some way, I apologise unreservedly. To avoid any mistakes in future, perhaps you would help me by clarifying your message.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info Ray. Sadly, i haven't made any more progress on it:'( , been busy, but fingers crossed i will do more tomorrow.

Cheers

Ray.
I don't think the spam call was aimed at you, Ed has posted this in a few threads so can only assume the spammers have attacked again and been removed.
loving the caravans, we need some of the single small ones to dot around the odd camp site and farmers fields here and there. Cheers. :D

@privite - an internet search will show full details and photos of the Clubman. Unfortunately, Euphod's post about spamming made me think that I might have transgressed some forum rule by giving a link to a commercial site (with which I have no connection).

@Deano5 - glad to have your reassurance. I was very concerned lest I had transgressed some rule of which I was not aware. Anyway, an internet search for the model I mentioned will bring up full details and photos.

Interesting to see that we have both made exactly the same number of posts - at the time of writing.

@Deano5 - Thanks for the comment, and small caravans are something i was hoping to get round to doing.

@Ray - Thanks, i will search it now...

Cheers

Sorry its a bit late but just uploaded the 2 axles and hook caravans. Should be up tomorrow. Also, i've made a Road speed sign and street name sign (both renameable) which should be up sometime this week.
