Turntable

Is there any turntable which its attached track remains very still with the rotating platform?
All I have tested hasn`t a very synchronized rotation movement for both platform and its track.
I presume its normal maybe with a better script for this would fix it.

I think what you are referring to is something inherent in Trainz.

The rotating track on the turn table must have some way to snap attach and snap detach from the tracks on the apron or each and every one will derail a loco or traincar at that point.

What I think Trainz code does is have a effective radius (quite small) in which these two events can occur.
When the rails come within that radius they snap attach and yes - the supposedly fixed rail on the apron moves towards the moveable rails on the turntable as that occurs.
When the rails move apart the fixed rails follow the moveable rails for a very short distance until they are out of the radius at which point they move back to their original position and they snap detach.
If this didn't happen turntables and transfer tables would not work. I doubt there is another way to do it.

Why apron rails disappear when the turntable is rotating is unknown to me. Anyone?

The way I got around it for my turntables was to model the rails and ties directly into the turntable model, and use invisible track. This also seemed to help the locomotives rotate a bit more smoothly. Try KUID:124060:32095 on the DLS as an example and see if that works better?

I find that straightening a very short section of track, that attaches to a turntable stub track, works well ... rather than directly connecting a curve track to the turntable

Good suggestions! I have another question related to turntables: are there any scripts available for moving a turntable? The one in DS (Move Turntable) does not work and needs to be updated. Unless I have done something wrong. Any suggestions?

Odds are you are doing something wrong because it does work. Are you useing the input table to tell the move command what to do??
