Turnouts - Missing Switches

I am trying to extend "Rob's" Glasgow Falkirk route. However, when I put in a new turnout no switch appears. Is there any reason for this?

Have a look at the options, the automatic setting of switches might be disabled for the map.

Automatic setting is on. Perhaps I should also have said that I am using TS2009

You probably don't have those switch levers downloaded in 2009.
Two things you can try. If you don't mind you could delete all missing assets and then install the switch levers that come in 2009. That will work for sure but you will also delete any other missing assets in the route.

This may be the same problem I am experiencing - in 2006 the switch lever/points used to install when making a spline connection but in 2009 I have to manually install them. The auto spline connection is ticked in the options but this does not seem to be the action required.
All suggestions welcome !!

Same here, I'm wondering if the SP1 patch broke this because it was working before.
