Turnout problem

Hi all I hope someone can help with this please.
I have a main line with two sidings, with access to the main line each end.
I have a loco that leaves 20 wagons on the siding then goes away and I tell a shunter to pick up the 20 wagons but it stops and just waits and when I take a look the turnout at the far end of the consist is flashing a green circle.
Could you please tell me the problem please.
Len

Try changing the point direction (the flashing green 1). You might find a signal at that end might help the loco couple.
In surveyor put some wagons in the siding and a signal and use quick drive to see if it works, saves you doing a driver session for xx amount of time to find your stuck again.

This is how I do it. Place a red trackmark in the siding somewhere near the wagon you want to couple up to . I would call mine something along the lines of "Siding Couple" which tells me where it is and what it is for. Use the driver Command "Couple at Trackmark" and select "Siding Couple" from the list. The shunter will stop close to the train then speed up to 5mph and couple to your 20 wagon train. You should not have any signals between your shunter and the train. If you dont have this command you can download it from the DLS. It may be beneficial to place a signal at the far end of the siding to take you back onto the mainline.

You forgot the main bit, get the incoming consist to drive to t/mark, uncouple blah, blah.
I do it similar to you, except once uncoupled the locos hit a trigger which sets the shunter going.

I didn,t forget it. The question was how to get the shunter into the siding? But if Case wishes to know how to use a trigger to get the shunter moving rather than issuing the commands After the arriiving train loco has departed that is not a problem.

Aha.........thankyou for your help,,well I was telling the loco to uncouple at a trackmark which it did and then went off to do blah blah, I tried to click on the green turnout but it made no difference, I am telling the shunter to couple at TM but it just got near and stopped then I saw in your help that there should not be a light before the TM. So I deleted stoplight and it is now running fine.
Thanks again

The runaround command is the only command I know that will actualy pass a red light. Dont know if that scripted part can be added to other commands so signals can be used.
