TS2010 screenshots

Wow ice I swear you playing a different unreleased TS version your screenshots are super amazing. Do you plan to release this route when its finished? And do you create most of your content used in this route?

@hert
Yes, the most Assets have self build.

Son of a...Just when I get used to 2009, this pops up. Wonder if I should halt work on my current routes and rebuild with 2010.
No need to rebuild, just install the route in 2010 and it will allow you to carry on building. We did on the ECML and it worked ok.

Great shots everyone :)

4 shots from a new fairly simple route, no 3D grass because none that I have works too well in native mode. Trees in 1st 2 shots are rebuilt from speedtrees to resemble Californian Live Oaks.

Next 2 shots are of desert area, the bushes here are rebuilt from speedtrees to look like sagebrush, and the cactus has been resized.

Nah, he said that they were his own creation. Also those critters seem to have the Euro style couplers, unlike Ice's, which appears to have knuckles.

Oh sorry Jadebullet, they look very similar to each other, so that's why I thought he might have got them from Amazing Mikes Trainz Website.

You have done a great job with the locomotive you made, I have the little critters above in my post, and they all look very similar, keep up the great work Iceman.

@airtime,

Joe thanks for the so nice comment! It seems to take ages but we get there sooner than later.
Here another one near kicking horse pass.

Still a lot unfinished but he its fun to create as long as trees work and Mcguirel gets back on track and the piracy trainzers get trashed.

Hallo Joosten,

I am very impressed by your work about the CP around Golden, BC! I came through Golden during my summer holyday trips in 2002 and again in 2004. The Canadian Rocky Mountains are great! Your Golden Yard looks great!
Just, I find the track embankment at the screen above a bit too wide. I remember this valley in a more narrow way. May you used the embankment function of Trainz – so you may clicked onto the track and the terrain was formed to it automatically. Unfortunately this creates embankments of about 30meters in width – far too much for that terrain.
I had to deal with this while creating my Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route as well. I came to the conclusion, that I can not use the auto embankment function of Trainz that way. I just built in the track as needed and adjusted the height of the spline points as required. Than I laid another track (used the blue invisible track) about 15 Metres beside the main track and adjusted the height of its spline points the same way like at the main track, but +0.2 Metres. Than I used the auto embankment function at this “terra forming track”. This created the embankment – of course also too wide, but only at one side of the main track. Thereafter, I finished the embankment by hand – at the side, which became too wide. I know, this is a bit of a boring work and also you are quite slow in progress, but I was quite happy about the result.
May you have a look onto my Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route – even in surveyor. At some places you will find some of the blue invisible “terra forming track” still left, as I did not erase all of it.

Keep up your great work – I can’t wait to take a Canada Trip again – this time through your route :-)

Here a Avery-Drexel construction screen from about 2006/2007, followed by a screen taken at TS2010 showing a narrow embankment built into a steep slope like common at RR’s in such a terrain.
