TS2010 screenshots

yea but you dont always have to get the latest versions. afaik 4 is the minimal with an exporter. max 4 5 6 7 8 9 and 2008 and 2009 can be used for trs content creation.

yes, there are plenty of authorized resellers online that are easily attainable. i see max 4 for $400, thats way more than enough to do trainz. i got MAX 2009 for somewhere around 1k at discount from an authorized autodesk reseller.

Got any links then, because the only official re-sellers I can find that will sell to the UK only have the latest version for sale, and charge the full £3,000+ for it.

Random, trivial question. What computer specs would I need if I wanted to buy and run this game?:o Just curious....

Open Auto Racks

Interesting to see some open autoracks, they are rare.
I checked your slideshow, nice stuff but on the rail speeder is the shadow mesh showing? Specifically on the right side of the picture near the bottom of the speeder, there's a spot where none of the normal mesh appears but something is there.

Ice,
I like the look of the steam engine especially.

Hallo,

thank you for the compliment. Yes, it’s a shadow just below the speeder, expanding towards the background in this screen.
The Milwaukee Road operated such auto racks during its last years of electrification. Majekear released a 3 level open auto rack in 2003 in CN livery, but there was no handling of industrial products possible back that time. Therefore, I measured the dimensions of majekear nice models and created my own mesh, including the handling of industrial products. Also in real life, there had been 3 level racks, for lower cars and 2 level racks for taller cars, such as pickups, vans and so on.
Unfortunately, I could not find any cars as industrial products applicable for the time period at the late 60’s and early 70’s. Therefore, I decided to create my own car loads by using and changing mesh from Auran’s Art Source CD.

I don’t have photos from open auto racks of other Rail Roads. Otherwise, I could create some more versions of these freight cars.
In our days, the Rail Roads uses covered auto racks, which is of course much better to protect the cars, but in Trainz, it is nice to see the different between a loaded and a unloaded freight.

:)

From my experience of 2010. None of the content in this photo works in 2010. This is a 2009 photo.

Oh that is a shame, this is what I thought the future of trainz 2010 would look like, I hope this stuff will work in trainz 2010 eventually, as it's such a shame our wonderful content creators have spent many long hours to create this fantastic content, only to find that it might struggle to work in Trainz 2010...

2010 is going to be great eventually I hope. But its going to be nothing with no content to suit its capability's
The content it does come with, is worse than basic!

As far as I have noticed, everything that works in Ts2009 works in Ts2010! John.

This is exactly what I thought was the case, but it doesn't. May be i'm doing something wrong!

Well I've just updated my reskin of the blue 50 to allow it to work in TRS2010, that new HST hasn't even been released yet so how do you know it won't work in TRS2010?

The BRUTEs work, so I'm not sure what on earth is left... (maybe the 117?)!

The built in TRS2010 HST power cars are actually very well built, as I've said before the most accurate we have available to date, possibly with the exception of the one mentioned above:) .

I was meaning more the track, the platforms, the gantry, but from reading some of the forums. I'm starting to realise its my 2010 that is the problem.
I have asked for help on this problem on 2010 thread to find out its my version of 2010 or if its just 2010.

Definitely looks like a problem your end as R3's track works fine in both 09 & 10 and in both native and compatibility mode!

Well thank goodness for that as I thought your earlier statement was one of the biggest pieces of nonsense I've read on these forums in a long time! (Which is saying something.) However, no doubt the damage has already been done in terms of putting people off buying it in the first place.

I'm waiting for the DVD version of 2010 to go in my new PC which is also on order. I'm braced for the idea of it not working perfectly out of the box. Indeed, having an ATI card, I'm braced for the idea of it not working perfectly, ever! However, I'm prepared to give it a go before slagging it off, unlike too many people on these forums.

Here, here, I'm the same as you, I eagerly await my DVD copy of Trainz 2010, and I do believe this is the start of great things to come from Auran, I'm just happy that our content creators super trainz stuff will work in Trainz 2010, especially Rumour 3's excellent track, TC3 unique signal pack and JN114/Nexusdj's super Intercity 125, things are looking good for Trainz 2010...

As long as I can see my trains running on tracks on a route that I built, then I'm happy... I am a bit worried about this layers thing, that people keep mentioning, this part does confuse me, but hey, if I mess with it, I'm sure I'll learn something from it, so all is good in the end anyway...

Sorry ice, but even your browser links don't show.

Damn pity too because I know that your screen shotz are always well worth seeing.

hi, Phil

Somehow, it works with Australia not.
I use the IE explorer 8 from Microsoft with Vista64Bit ..
This one does not see the pics is very annoying, after all, I owe to our Australian friends a really good TS2010.
I will try in future to find a solution.

I must look for another Hostservice.

Good greetings to the other Side of Planet
