TS2010 screenshots

Yes I'm quoting the picture for two reasons.

One, you know that the current trucks that are on most if not all of those pieces of rolling stock is VERY outdated.

Two, it is is snowing, with snow on the ground hence it's winter, but the trees have fall-like colors.

Just thought I should point that out.

Nice, imagine how the steam engines will look running in TS2010!

Probably the same as they do in '06, Classics 1,2 & 3, and '09, I imagine '10 will be no different.
I've found that only content that comes with the new version actually looks like the game version quality...I can't imagine why ? :o

On other notes,
I thought the SpeedTree looked pretty neat, however I did notice that thread by Hminky in General Trainz, that down talked it pretty bad.
But I've heard people bash '09 and I've heard people praise '09, we'll see when I get mine on Christmas Day as to just what my opinion will be of '09.
But that is on the subject of '09, let us get back to '10.

I think that Auran did a pretty good job of doing this one, however I can't help but feel that this is really '09 Engineers Addition covered up as 2010 for two reasons, 1. Auran once again felt the need to release a new version for new year. 2. They were trying to save face and hope that we would forgot that they were supposed to release two versions of Trainz Simulator 2009 which was supposed to be called, lo and behold, TS2009 ENGINEER'S EDITION. Could it be that 2010 is just '09 EE with a new name?
Well, that just doesn't sound possible!:hehe:

But, all that matters is that they have released, hopefully, another good version of Trainz.
It is good that they do, that way we can have some faith that we will have this thing for many years to come.;) Maybe just Maybe...

Here's to you Auran,

Woody:wave:

No arguements here!

I agree with you there and yes we will have to wait and see if TS2010 is as good as 2009 or not but speed tree is the one thing that I did not expect to be included,so this could be interesting but I'm still worried on the frame rates though!

Well, I am glad they at least didn't include the piece of content they requested to use. All I asked for was a download copy of the game but never got a response... Heaven forbid the creators could get a thank you from the makers of the game who have kept the programs "head above the water" for all these years and throw us a bone... :o

Can anyone make a list of the stuff included in the game so I can go grab it from the DLS?

,

what did they request to use? i found that my safetran and uss searchlight signals come built in to 2010, pretty nice job on the notification they did there.

Thanks to all post some pics.:udrool:
I wait for some videos, some more pictures, than I will buy it too.

The Milwaukee Road route looks impressive, i have a thing for the MILW Rock Mountain division and that in itself could make me buy when it gets closer to the bargain bin. Other than that i dont see much improvement. TRS 06 could barely run on my PC with my level of route detailing and im wondering how speedtree will effect the FPS. If they have improved the FPS aspect it could be worth my time. Still wish they would do something about the lighting though......the graphics are really what is holding TRS back from being a great sim.

LOL.. same here..they used my traffic signals with attached street signs (the first models I ever made and are low poly) - no big deal to me, at least it motivated me to upgrade them.

Yeah, kinda like the way they asked Sirgibby for the Murchison layout, I believe it was the Murchison, but all I know is that they included a payware route with out his permission.
As I remember it, it lit a fire under his rear too.

I'm sorry to get on the whole Auran thing, but if we should have to give full credit to the authors of equipment we use their stuff in our Download Station stuff, then they should have to not only do the same, but ask when doing it!

Furthermore, I certainly hope none of you had copyrights on that stuff...

Cheers,
Woody

Not everyone has time to update things to the latest for reasons different between each of us. Some make do with what is available.

Two, it is is snowing, with snow on the ground hence it's winter, but the trees have fall-like colors.

Just thought I should point that out.
Since researching trees, I have noted two things.
1 - Not all trees lose leaves in winter. I don't just mean pine, conifers, firs and other evergreens. There are Oak and other species that keep leaves through winter.
2 - Not all trees lose leaves at the same time. Just on streets nearby are Honey Locust and Callery Pear trees. The Locusts start to lose leaves in October, the "fruits" keep coming down through December. The Callery Pears are stubborn and don't even start changing colors until mid to late November before considering losing leaves.

Just to clarify, it was payware groundtextures, maybe a few other items but not the whole route.
The difference is if the items mentioned here are on DLS. There is a document that states, in legal terms, short version here, if you uplaod something to DLS, Auran can use it and include it in Trainz releases. One reason some creators don't host their content on DLS.
