TS2010 screenshots

I like the new menu system, the presentation reminds me of other game titles like Need For Speed-ish.

It someone could please post screenshots of my Michigan routes, I would appreciate it. :)

Why don't you post them yourself? It has been customary for Auran to supply a route contributor with a copy of the game, so I assume you have one. You appear to have an internet connection as well, so I don't understand the problem.

Hi Euphod --

"Why don't you post them yourself? It has been customary for Auran to supply a route contributor with a copy of the game, so I assume you have one."

If Chris is like me, that assumption is only partly correct. I've been promised the DVD, not the electronic version, so for your "have" you should substitute "will".

The hard copy is yet to arrive. I too would like to see how my routes fared.

That is a possibility. What I'm curious about is why you guys don't know what your routes look like? Don't you think they are going to look exactly the same as they do in 2004, 2006, TC, or 2009? If you have made changes to the routes then you know what they are. Did someone else make changes to your routes? Is this a Speedtree thing? If that's the case, then I sure hope you are pleased with the results!

Yeah...I know...I know...I know. In the past I have always been the one to defend the next "advance" in the Trainz program. After being dissapointed time and time again, however, I have to say this. I'm from Missouri, regardless of what it might say in my profile,...so Show Me! All I've seen lately is Auran making cosmetic changes to a perfectly good program in order to appeal to the first-person shooter gamers out there who have some loose lunch money to spend. Those screenshots don't look good...they look like crap!

Woooh! That felt good! I feel much better. Happy now Ed? :D

Cheers,
Fred

Some pics of my Strzelecki layout that I've just updated to TS2010 using the SpeedTrees. This one came up a lot better than my Healesville 'update'. Still a fair few things I want to try out before I go too far though.

A T class bring the mornings South Gippsland passenger service into Koo-Wee-Rup station.

Further south, the T class is seen hauling the pass over one of the many 'driveway' crossings on the South Gippsland line.

Just outside Dalmore, the T class coasts across the main road crossing sandwiched between two drainage channels

A few kilometers south of Dalmore, the line crosses the Cardinia creek and it's flood channel. Here we see T396 leaving the bridge amongst a couple of gum trees.

In this final shot, we see T396 power on towards Koo-Wee-Rup and places further south.

Nice pics, Zec...but I don't see how that looks any better than anything in TRS2006 or TRS2004. How does it handle previous content? Splines? Trees? Auran's disregard for making their "next big thing" compatible with content created by Trainzers over the years is reprehensible. It shows that those who are now writing the program code haven't a clue to what Trainz is all about.

Auran? Are you listening?

We are virtual model railroaders. We make locos, boxcars, trees, houses, signals, bridges, signs, tracks, roads, sidewalks, flowers, weeds, fences, etc...etc...etc. We don't care about your latest graphical or interface innovations if they don't allow us to use what we already have.

Cheers,
Fred

Soooooooo....Does this mean "legacy" content won't work period or just will work but with a billion errorflags in the CMP? (or whatever is the current term for it...)

I can deal with error flags, but if it doesn't work period...my 14 GB of material will be alittle useless...ya know...

PS, I realize this is kinda a rumorish thing, so if it's not true then cool!

Screenshots do look quite nice though...I just hope the wheels turn on the HST...:o

Nice screens, in future when they improve the light to dark lighting aspect of Trainz, all these trees will look even better.

More screens of the UK routes please if anyone has time.

Was that Tume's Milwaukee Road electrics and content? If it is, I'm thinking of buying it. Nice pictures.

Yes, it is a screen of my Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route – thank you for posting the screen Randall. The screen has been captured from a position above Adair Siding just a little east of Kelly Creek Trestle looking south east toward Adair Loop. The Train moves through Tunnels No. 26 and 25 and while the power passes Adair Siding, its second half is still travelling at the south side of Adair Loop.

Have all fun to play with this route and all the other very nice routes and content at the new TS2010.

:)

Your’s TUME

Okay, a Non Disclosure Agreement is in the way....

...so I understand why my questions can't be answered. (thanks Phil). It's nice to read your name on the back of a piece of software, and far be it from me to be-little that experience at all.
I hope someone will post some shots of Chris's and Phil's hard work before too long, I'm guessing they would like to see how their routes turned out after they released them, and who could blame them?

Wow! Does this come with TRS2010 or is it your own creation?
Mick Berg.

Kings X station.

This is the new East Coast Mainline route, which runs from Kings Cross, London, to York in Yorkshire, the whole route and the new HST 125 are included with Trainz 2010, having saying that, the junction switches look chaotic, I'd hate to navigate through that lot without the AI...

This is the main reason I've ordered trainz 2010 on DVD, as it includes the entire Kings X to York route along with surveyor...

Are they the new MK3 coaches, I thought they would have been brought upto date with see through windows and be passenger enabled with passengers inside and doors opening at stations... looks like I'll have to stick with the Railwaves stuff, until JN114 and Nexusdj do there magic...

By the way, I'm not too sure if they will work in Trainz 2010, however they did work in Trainz 2009, you could try these MK3 coaches, to make the HST 125 look better than what it is, buffet car not included...

These are available from the site below...

http://www.vsr.org.uk/

However, there is a site you can go to, to get the entire collection, including the buffet car, Peter Hicks a legend on here... has made some excellent MKll coaches, they come in three different livery's, Intercity Blue and Grey, Intercity Executive and Anglia trains... the link is below, and includes the buffet car... I really do hope these work in Trainz 2010, as these are amazing... please let me know if you download these, how you get on...
