TS2010 Latest patch failed...

Today when running Trainz 2010 I was offered the latest patch.
I accepted to download and install it,
but during the procedure I got this message:

> Checking for available disk space for patching.
> Searching for patches...
> Downloading patch file...
> Unpacking patch file...
> Failed to extract the patch archive.
> Patching aborted.

Did this happen to anyone else and what did you do to fix it?

Might be worth trying the manual patch route - that error basically means that it did not download correctly. What operating system are you using?

I'm using Windows 7.

Make sure you are running it as admin.

Now I didn't use the inbuilt update function - instead downloaded
and ran the update manually. I saw that the path was set to
the exe of MY FIRST TRAINZ SET!!
I changed it - then it worked!

hey guys

when i tried to patch, i got this message:
"failed to patch 42763 to 43434, File contents do not match"
i got the german version, and the content that was making problems is the file "6.ja" inside the folder "builtin". ive tried reinstalling, nothing changed. yes i bought trainz 2010, its completely legal, but dont know how to fix this. reason for my question is, that the addon "blue comet" recommends an actual version of Trainz (well the prog said i need one).
if anyone can help i would be thankful

I think you will need to do a full uninstall of TS2010 (back up your content first) then re-install.
