TS2009 Content Request

Is there any place to get downloads for content designed specifically for TS2009. I am anxious to get 3rd party layout or traincars or engines preferrably in the US. It does not seem like there is much on the DL station, at least I don't know how to search for it. Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like see what this game can with content specifically designed for it Again thank you

Hi,

If you're searching the DLS,(using the tab above), then just ust the tick box for 2009.

If you're using CM2 (i.e. from TRS 2009), look for the build number > 2.8 (IIRC). You may need to add this column to the display pane.

The version number on the item doesn't really correspond to which version it was designed for. There are very few features in TS2009 that cannot be used in other versions from a content creation point of view.

So Whitepass has made a boxcar with a TS2009 tag on it, very nice, quite a high polycount but other creators have designed high poly count content but put a lower version number on. Vinnybarb has done some very nice normal mapped content that was created with TS2009 in mind but some has a lower version on it simply because technically it will run under TRS2004. I have some terrace housing that uses large texture files, labeled TRS2004 but reality is they were made with TS2009's texture compression in mind.

The S&C TS2009 add on looks very good but the content was originally designed for TC3.

Oh watch out for items labeled TS2009 on the DLS that really could be labeled 2.4 (TRS2004) but weren't simply because they were created in TS2009 and the content creator didn't know how to set the version number to a lower value. A fair number of these are much the same level of content as the average TRS2004 DLS items.

So what you are really asking is where is some high quality content that shows off the best of TS2009 / TS2010.

Is it just me?

The version of an item only shows after the item is download. All items on the dsl show unknown as the version.
