TS2009 and TRS2006 and Fatal Errors

Some Might Say
I have owned TRS2006 since the first month it came out and for the first few months it was problem free and then the freezing and fatal errors came along.

I first have to delete 2 folders in the TRS2006 file then I have to leave the start screen for about 10 minutes, if I press start before about 10 minutes it will freeze and won't work and I have to repeat the process once again.

Which can become quite long when you have about 5 fatal errors a day.

I once had a 6 track yard over 5 baseboards and I electrified it using overhead line equipment which I spent about 2 hours to do, saved, and came back to find that the electrification had dissapeared along with my fence modifications and an engine shed and a depot. I did the same thing twice only to find that you need to run TRS2006 as an administrator on vista to be able to save.

Well thats enough of my problems, what I want to know is will TS2009 have fatal errors or not?

Unless you have the complete version of TS2009 (not the beta version) you have no right to critisize it, something which I did and should and admit I should not have done.

Well TS2009 can't be worse that TRS2006, because I sure hope it isn't.

Fatal errors are often more hardware related than sotware related. The blue screen of death, for example, is generally a video driver issue. I have far more problems with Outlolok, Firefox, and currently an annoying RPC error than I do with Trainz.

Stability has been something we have focussed on with 2009 and if you are patient, there are seldom any lock-ups (and it is already better in SP1).

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed, your disk defragged and if you're keen, reinstall windows (it's a pain but it never ceases to amaze me how much faster things run on a clean install).

Good luck.
