TS12 - Track detail view distance

I just got TS12. The track is only shown in high detal for about 10 meters
or so in front of the train. So I see this continuous abrupt line where the high
track detail ends.

I find this really distracting. My view distance is set to max but that doesn't
make any diff. Is there any way to fix this?

It's ok in a big high loco where the cab view almost blocks it out.

What is the kuid of this track? If it is one of the newer stitched mesh tracks and the LOD isn't set correctly, the transition can be rather obvious. When it is done correctly, you are not supposed to see the transitions.

This is a config file setting, but also controlled by the game.
It is designed to improve frame rates.

I do not care for this feature and feel it only helps performance on FPS on a very small scale. This feature also creates a stutter when each 10 or so meters are converted. This is the main reason why my UltraTrack is NOT LOD, but has decent performance regardless of the statistics.

Where do I find this config setting?

It shows up worst on the standard TS12 Newcastle line.

The Philadelphia route doesn't have this abrupt detail change at all.
It still shows a bit on some of the other supplied tracks, but not as bad.
