TS12 issue. Track side objects have become trackmarks?

I have a rather large sized route I've merged together. Recently the performance has fallen way down and then the route crashed during a driving session. I figured it was bad content and the other day I noticed a gazillion of numbered track marks on the map, but not, thank God, in the list of track marks. I did a search and found they were things such as speed limit signs and whistle posts which are now numbered. These numbers are not small, but in the order of millions like Track Mark (spelled out just like this) followed by 11938720 and so on.

I tried doing the replace assets, but that did nothing but replace the object and the track marks are still there. The only way to delete them is to search for them and manually delete and replace them with a different object.

I surely would hate to ditch this route. I've spent quite a bit of time working on it and have developed quite a complex operating session with multiple portals, lots of AI drivers, and interactive industries. The ultimate goal, I hope, is to import this into T:ANE and this was going to go through the clean-up and preparation to do that at some point.

Has anyone else ever seen this?

Hi John

I've seen it in T:ANE on the ECML route with whistle posts as I thought that this may have been the reason for there being too many trackmarks to display properly. It isn't but it can be very confusing when looking through the map. I didn't realise that it happens in TS12 as well.

Thanks Brian for answering. I didn't know this also occurred in T:ANE, but then the route wasn't developed in T:ANE either. I can see whistle posts as a possibility if they are used as part of triggers or other automated operation, but bridge abutments too? I replaced them with non-scripted items and things work a lot faster.

Yes, the map gets really confusing too, making it difficult to do anything like setting switches or checking signals because everything gets lost in the white mash.
