I have two questions.
1) I have two consists on a single track. One is for passenger and the other is for freight.Track speed is the 40 mph default and my stops for each are some distance apart from each other.Question,Why does my passenger consist maintain the default 40 mph track speed between stops and my freight consists never goes faster then 22 mph.
2) Not sure why but my locos seem to get stuck when they end up stopping on a track switch. Is there a reason for this and a way to get around it.

Thanks for your help

1) You might not have enough signals on the line to allow the second consist a free run. Also if there are no junctions on the line Trainz has a tendency to look a long distance ahead and if it sees another consist on the line the following consist will be slowed to about half speed.

2) the line curving off the point might have too tight a radius which as in real life would "jam" the wheels against the track and prevent the locomotive from moving or cause it to derail. Ease the curve by moving the subsequent splines to give a larger radius to the track off the junction.

As things go,I do not have any signals. Will try adding some and I'll have to take a closer look at my junctions.
Thank You for the info
