Trying to update Sim 2010 Engineers Edition

I got this for Xmas. I got the message that it needed updating so I downloaded the recommended software. When I tried to run it, it aborted, with an error message that it couldn't unpack some files. So I tried another download, but that really doesn't work becuz the program is already on my hard drive and so it just attempts to re install the bad download. Which of course doesn't work. I don't know the name of the file so I can't go in and delete it and start from scratch.

To frustrate me even more, I bought and downloaded the Blue Comet and when I went to install ThAT, I get the message that my version of Sim 2010 EE is too old.

Can anyone please tell me how to deal with this?

Hi Jerry,

The auto-patch facility in TS2010 does not work properly.

To be able to advise on which patch you will need, you will need the 5-digit build number from the Launcher screen.
