Trying to modify a locomotive

Hello. Sorry if something like this has been asked before, but I'm trying to change the N&W J class from SubParproductions from a 4-4-2 to a 4-4-4. To do this, I used the content creator to replace the locomotives back wheel with the the leading truck. However, when place in the game, the new wheels are right under the drivers, and nowhere near the back. Am I doing something wrong?

I would imagine you need to be able to see the original mesh, as I think it's to do with the Attatchment points being in the wrong place to do what you want to.

All I can suggest is reversing the bogie by editing the config file entry, if that doesn't work, you're stuffed I think.

I think that you will always have a problem. In order to make leading and trailing bogies work, quite often the centre of the bogie is offset towards the centre of the loco and I think that this is what Ben has done here. I suspect he has positioned the front bogie normally but offset the rear attachment.

OMG dude. I just thought of it. Why are you replacing the BACK wheels with the FRONT wheel!? Order some back wheels! Its like trying to go BACKWARDS 90 MPH on the freeway!

By the way Farecoal, how do you fix missing dependencies? I downloaded this extra stuff for my GN 4-8-2 and how do you dump the stuff in the loco?

No I downloaded the loco first. Loco dont work, pick up dependencies. How to put the dependencies?????

Ps. Visit my (Trainz crashed my computer!!) thread!

That would be a serious problem that you should contact Auran about. I have no idea how to fix that. Also, don't reset your computer by unplugging it, that probably does something bad.

Why the Hell has nobody even gotten Ben's permission to modify his locomotive model, (Which is perfectly fine as a representation of a REAL class of 4-4-2 atlantic, not some 4-4-4 Jubilee bull,) nor gotten his attention to this Thread!

Is this just some free rally? Everybody go and fuss with somebody's perfectly good models and modify them horribly!

Good Gracious! :n:

Buddy: Leave it to guys like PaulTrainz!

Ps. His Prices way too high. (Im kid no credit card:D )

When you have spent countless hours making a loco, it works out at dimes per hour. His prices are CHEAP for the work done.
But then you're just a kid, you have no idea what WORK is or the money it's worth. :hehe:
