Truck (Bogie) Dimensions

You know, the Internet is supposed to have anything you want out there to find. Well, I have spent two days off and on trying to find a set of drawings or something that would tell me the dimensions of a typical Barber S2 truck. And I have yet to find anything. Amazing isn't it?!

Does anyone out there know of a website or has a drawing they could share? Thanks in advance.

While I couldn't find anything specific to the S-2 here are some PRR diagrams to get some general numbers for non-rivet-counting. Maybe these will help? Amazing how little information is available......

There are two 17” dimensions shown on the bolster (page 1-5 of captainkman’s .pdf file link).

It might be possible to scale some of the other hardware from that measurement, if all else fails!

DPI isn't that important as long as I can read the dimensions. One thing I need to know is the wheel diameters. Are they ALL 40 inches??

I was under the impression that wheel size was related to the weight rating of the bogey. They range from 33" to 40", and I thought 100T bogeys had 36" wheels.

Sent PM with plans. Most used US freight car wheel are 33" and 24", the 24" ones are used on double stack and auto cars due to height.
