TRS 2009 level crossings

Hi guys,

I am getting rather frustrated - the level crossings don't seem to want to stay at the height I put them at. They are always sinking, and dragging the roads and track down with them. Is there any way to stop this? Also, when I try to adjust the height, I'm not able to -"object does not allow height change". Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I know with 04 and 06 the only way I've found to adjust the hight of a level crossing is to raise and lower the ground under it. I don't think that's changed.

The way to get round this is to add the line

Code:
height-range -100,100

to the config file of the crossing. This works in 04 and 06, I don't know about 09.

Yes, this works in 09.:)
However, if I lift the xing up enough to get the road abouve ground, the track hovers in air - smooth splines doesn't help. :'(

There are some embankment and terrain splines about that might bring your track back down to earth. Unfortunately, the track height relative to the road height is fixed in any given crossing by the creator, and because there is more than one standard for road surface height relative to the road's attachment height, they are not all the same. Trying a different road or crossing may well help you get round this.
