Hello, I am new too this and need a little help. I just got this and enjoy it very much. I get access in the Download Station and have downloaded some items and I believe it stated it installed and also shows up in the downloaded area. But, when I exit out of the software and come back and restart the program again, it just hangs up once I click "Start" everything else in the main menu window work just fine. This only happens when I have downloaded something. I don't know how to tell if its missing some items or that something is in there that the program doesn't like. I un-installed the program and re-installed it and program runs fine again. It happens if I download thru the content manager or I download from somewhere else. I'm I doing something wrong? I take it from what I read that the only files I see will be for just my version I am using. So I don't know what I need to do. There are quite a few items that I have downloaded and would like to have show up in the program, but seem to fighting a battle within the program itself. Can anyone help me..thank you

It looks like you don't have SP1 installed.
And t looks like the SP1 CD is no longer available, but a download is available.
At the top, you'll see a FAQ, Tips and Tweaks. Click on it and you'll see a Sticky: Service Pack 1 Release and a link to download it.
Then two threads below that is an other Sticky: SP1 Installation Guide. Be sure to follow those instructions.
This will bring you up to Version 2.6, Build 3092.

Downloaded, locked up program

Hi and thanks for the info. "NYCboy", I didn't know if I needed to do that becuase when I clicked on the item I wanted and hit the start, it was downloading, then a few more items were right behind it downloading one after the other. So I assumed that it was getting the rest of the items it needed. Please correct me if I am wrong on that. "jimisham" thank you for that, I did see that listed and looked for it, but all I saw referenced to it was for the 2004, well atleast thats what I thought I read. I will do that now. I hope that this is it. Some of the Loco's I have around here are listed and want to add to the program..thank you..I'll repost again on a update and how it went..

Just tried to locate that sticky and file, but couldn't find that "Tips and Tweaks" when I clicked on the FAQ? am I missing something here?

No you were just looking in the wrong place its the FAQ in the TRS2006 forum .
But to save you looking I have put in two links below, link 1 will get you to the service pack info and downloads link
Link 2 will get you to the SP1 installation guide make sure you read it and follow exactly.

Hey, thank you. Geez thats a biggy, huh well its downloading now and almost done. I have printed out the installation process as well and will follow it to apply the patch. Hope this takes care of the program lockup I was having after downloading items and trying to start the program. But we'll see. Thanks to all for your help. I'm learning slowly, but getting there..
