Trs 06's CMP with double of everything!!!

For some reason this morning when I turned on trs06 I found to my suprise that there was twins of everything (Two identicle assets of everyting) even built-in assets! when I try to delete or modify one the same thing automaticaly happens to the other . When I download anything, CMP creates another by itself .
Whats going on? And is there any way to fix it without reinstalling?

Do the "twins" show up in Trainz (surveyor)? Do the twins take up physical space on your hard drive as well?

Yes, they show up in surveyer,driver,and railyard. no they don't take up disk space, its as though they're one thing showing up twice.

I wonder if deleting assets.tdx would take care of this odd behavior. Perhaps worth trying unless someone else has any ideas.

Deleting assets.tdx just deletes the database, not any assets. After you delete the file, start up CMP and it will rebuild the database.

Tell us if doing so fixes the problem or not.

Well after about a 15-20 minute wait, CMP finally opened and there's only one of everything! It worked!
