Trigger Problem in Trainz Ultimate Collection

I was wanting to know how to set up the triggers in Trainz Ultimate Collection.

I place a trigger on a section of track along with a signal, I cannot find the menu or sub menu that lets me edit the conditions of the trigger and i can not find any help for this edition of Trainz anywhere.

I know this is probably a silly question but it needs answering please :)

I don't know if this will work since UTC is an old obsolete version of Trainz, but try right clicking on the trigger. You could also try posting in the UTC forum if it still exists.

Thanks

Yeah I tried right clicking on it and all the other usual stuff but there's nothing also I already had a look for the forum but I couldn't find it :(

Really disappointing considering i have ready made this amazing map and this is the only thing letting it down.

I believe that triggers in UTC only serve a purpose in scenarios (accessed by the "Scenarios" button on the Trainz main menu), which are scripted activities written in the Auran GameScript (a. k. a. TrainzScript) langauge.

What do you need the triggers for?

Basically I have a double track mainline with a point in it and when, let's say, consist 2 comes to this point I want it to turn off the main line on to the side track but only for consist 2 and leaving all other consists on the main line.

I want this to happen automatically without me having to manually switch the point.

It's a fairly simple concept but I'm not sure it's capable in UTC.

I don't know about UTC, but what you want to do can be accomplished easily in newer versions with a track mark and the drive via command.

Yeah I already guessed that the newer versions were capable with this. In UTC you can add triggers in surveyor mode but you can't edit them or tell them what to do. That's what I'm trying to find out. I don't want to spend another £45 on a new trains when I have just bought this one.

TC3 is the version that came out in 2008 and it's pretty up to date - you get the full Settle and Carlisle route and lots of British content. I believe its use of triggers and trackmarks is no different from the latest versions of the game. And its a bargain for only a tenner!

TC3 does not have all of the classic Trainz built-in content, I believe. You could go for TRS2004, which will do what you want. Since it is so old, I bet you could get it for cheap. Just beware of the Just Trains-published version, which has DRM that requires you to have the disk in the drive to play Trainz (unlike the Auran version, which does not have such a requirement).

And TS2010 (a recent version) is only 23.99 Australian Dollars (~14.93 GBP) (minus shipping and handling) from N3V with a 20% discount voucher (I have one that I am looking to give away).
