OK, so I am moving all of the content that I had in Trainz 2010 to Trainz 12, and I am moving the Local files, and I was wondering if I needed to move the Original folder too, or if I can delete that and save a lot of space.
Thanks in advance!
There is no faster way other than copying and pasting from one place to another. I recommend turning off your real-time antivirus scanning so that the data can be copied quickly as this can slow things down as the data moves between folders.
You could do it that way. It will integrate better and then you won't have to do a database repair afterwards. Use the Import Content... from the menu. It won't be fast but things will be done in all in one step. If you receive any messages about stuff already existing. Choose to Skip or Skip All.
That would be a case of copying the Local and Original folders into the UserData folder directly then running a database repair. However, this does mean that there is a risk of losing assets if a problem does happen using that method.
Would a problem be like the copy process (or cut as it would have to be in my case) cutting out? Or something random happening?
EDIT: Would it be a quick or extended database repair?
Any likely problems would be during the repair process, but if the copy/cut process cuts out that can also cause problems. In terms of the database repair, a quick one should suffice.
Just a quick question, will the content only show up once the quick database repair has finished? Or did something go wrong, as I am running the database repair now.
Is it normal for it to slow to 1/10 of the normal speed when it hits 320000/340000 when it checks for faulty assets, or is it just taunting me because I spent all day doing this?
