Transfer files from PC to Mac?

Please bear with my ignorance, I am lacking knowledge of the difference between the operating systems of the two platforms.
A simple question: Could I purchase and download to my PC the files for Trainz Mac, and then later, if and when I purchase a Mac transfer those files to the Mac and install?

It seems like an easy question, and I would suspect "yes", but thought to ask for confirmation.

I don't see any reason why not, so yes, since the way the files are packaged can be stored anywhere and only work on a Mac.
