Transdem data for the UK

Hi,
I was thinking of buying Transdem but before I invest £19 in it I was wondereing if there is any free data for the U.K. and if so where?

I bought it and used the following for all my geodata.

Now it also includes track vectors which is a fairly recent addition.

You can get SRTM data for the UK from the NASA website.

Hi Joe.

Go into the 'Supply' tab on the page link above. TransDEM uses the Land-Form PANORAMA map as a basis but I also used data from the OS VectorMap District (ESRI shape) section too to acquire track vectors.

The PANORAMA data will give you DEM info for the whole UK but you only need to download the sections you need from the Vector series by selecting them from the dropdown.

If you have any in-depth questions, you should join the TransDEM forum that Geophil runs. As he created it, he can answer pretty much everything there is to ask about TransDEM.
