TransDem Combining 1 meter and 1/3 arc DEMs

In TransDem you can 'Add' multiple DEMS to create a larger DEM area. The 1 meter DEMs provide more detail ground elevation than 1/3 Arc DEMS. The area of interest, however, is not completely covered by 1 meter DEMs and to complete the area of interest a 1/3 Arc DEM needs to be 'Added'. My question about TransDem is: When the 1/3 Arc DEM is 'Added' will it overwrite the 1meter DEMs? Or will the 1/3 Arc DEM only fill in the missing area of interest? Therefore, I am looking to have a final DEM of the area of interest that is a combination of both 1 meter and 1/3 Arc DEMS. I have reviewed the all the TransDem posts in both the Trainz and TransDem forums, but my question remains unanswered. All response would be greatly appreciated.

No, it doesnt overwrite it when you use the Add dem feature, it just adds the new dem to the empty areas which weren't covered before.

So the TransDem Tip is to: 'Add' the highest resolution DEMs first.

That's what I do, just open all the high res DEMs, then use the add feature if there are any missing bits.
