When i try to add something to it i get the save click on it get a box with trainzoptions as file name click ok, then get a box that said this file already exist do you want to overwrite this,i click yes, then get a box that said access denied.
now is there anything(setting)on my PC that i may have changed that won't allow me to make changes to this file?
I've made trainz,note pad,trainoptions,all run as adminstrator

Try saving it to the desktop, then copy it back into the Trainz folder.

Most likely is because the content is not allowed to alter the script. I have seen some content like this. I don't believe there is away around it. May somebody else here can give more details on this.

he is trying to change his trainz option file and his computer will not let him,
you can change the trainz option file,,,, i doneit on my computer but for some odd thing, he can't

The way to cure this is to -

Right click on the trainzOptions file, select properties, select the 'Security' tab.
Click on the 'Edit' button.
Select 'Users (whatever your name is).
Tick the 'full Control box' in the 'Permission for users' box.
Click 'Apply', and you'll be able to change anything in the TrainzOptions file.

This is because of the Windows Vista/7 security. You can always do the same with the 'Auran Folder', which will give you permission to change any file within that folder. With this option though, the larger your 'Local' folder is, the longer it will take to finish the permissins job.
