Is there a Trainz 12 version of the TRS 2004 VistaMare Trainz Maps program?

The answer is no.

But I know you can trick tranz map into working with Trainz 12 by putting a dummy (empty) file in the same folder as Trainz12.exe is and then point trainzmap to this folder. Trainz map thinks it is working with 2006 but uses trainz12 files.

I have tried it myself and have it working but it's been so long ago I maybe missing or forgetting something else.

This program lets you replace track assets such as track and switch levers, signals, and what not as well as the two most awesome features that are not in any version of Trainz. These two last features are the ability to print out a map of a route and to measure the distance from one end to the other by placing markers.

The replace assets feature is somewhat obsolete today since that is now built-in the current versions of Trainz. The latter two, very important, features were never developed even though they've been asked for many times by the community.

I remember trying to get the program to work with TRS2009, but there are issues with route sizes. My route at the time was close to 240 miles long, and the program would crash. I gave up on it at that point.
