Trainz videos

Hi,

Having an older PC, of somewhat limited ability, whenever I try capturing a fraps video, the result is quite jerky due to what I call 'dropped frames'.

PC specs:-
AMD +2800 cpu
on motherboard with slow bus
1.75Gb ram
Three HDs (2x200Gb sata but not in RAID, +160Gb IDE) & separate partitions for various things.

I use Pinnacle 12 & Adobe Premiere for editing, & note that Premiere shows the missing (or 'frozen') frames in one analysis display as red vertical bars.
Is there some way to automatically delete these frozen sections?.
As in one 'take', of say two minutes, I have 270 of these, & I want to make several 5-8 minute videos, there's no way I can do this manually!.:confused::'(

Any advice most gratefully received.

I think it's your CPU. An AMD 2800+ CPU is what my old PC had and that's now 7 years old. I'd get quite low framerates on not massively built-up sections on TRS2004. If I ran Fraps on top of it it struggled even more.

D&RGW Narrow Gauge Trainz Video

I posted a D&RGW Narrow Gauge Video on youtube of a Route I am working
on using Trainz 2009.
It is of the D&RGW (Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR) from Antonito to just
past Osier. Hope to finish it from Osier on to Chama in the next few
months.
I used the book "Ticket to Toltec" by Doris Osterwald. It is a mile by mile
guide. Very good maps. I also used videos by me and others, and Google
maps.
This 10 min. Video is a Tour of parts of that section of my route.

Wow! Just Wow! That is a beautiful recreation of that part of the line. Great video. And, I really loved the narration. I felt like I was watching one of my favorite videos from Green Frog. Anybody ever tell you that you sound like Mallory Ferrell? I look forward to seeing more of your productions. Keep up the great work!

Regards,
Todd

You keep on talking about Nick the Steam Engine, yet I see no progress on it. Can you do some type of demo of it or something, as this talk of the "show" is getting old; fast.

You have an amazing eye for detail, your route looks amazing! I guess I am not the only one doing TS2009 narrow gouge anymore.;)

Look forward for more:) .

Cheers,

Here's a few things on what's going on with Nick the Steam Engine.:)
1: I need to purchase a new first class ticket first
2: I need to download some new content first before I can start progress.
3: I need to figure out on how to do screenshots first.
4: I need to know how to do all of this before I'm ready.

Finally, It would take years before it hits TV for real, but for now, it's a dream. I AM a Trainz rookie since this is my FIRST year here. and I have to learn first so I can become one of you.

I hope this covers everything on why Nick the Steam Engine is delayed for a while.:p

Not trying to be rude here but...
1) Why, I dont have one and I get by just fine with downloading...
2) Ok, set the downloads and walk away.
3) prtscreen key, make shure you hit F5 and Ctrl H when you do. F5 gets rid of HUD, Ctrl H gets rid of switch arrows
4) Just let the imagination flow. I might as well start one up, as I have Ideas for my line...

Can you imagine, thomas and Friends but US, 30in, and GC&T style? :hehe:

Kinda, since each episode of my series would be 30 mins long.:hehe: :)

But, can you imagine what it would be like if alot of trainz engines did the Caramelldansen with a lot of other toons?

D&RGW Narrow Gauge Video

Thanks Todd & JRT for your comments on My Narrow Gauge Video.
Todd, I couldn't have done it without your Great Engines.

Thank you,
Melvin Perkins Glenwood Springs, Colorado on the D&RGW Mainline

Glad I could help Melvin. :)

Glenwood Springs is a beautiful town. I've been through there a number of times when traveling from Montrose to Denver.

Keep up the great work, and share some more videos with us.

Todd
