CP Kicking Horse Pass-Spiral Loop Tunnels WIP

The most painfully long, and boring video, in the world...I'll do better on my finished route.

Sorry for the fuzzy, carpy, Fraps video. I think I have to set my antialiasing, and use better settings for Trainz and videos. It is a WIP and has no trees or textures...yet. It has @ 8 baseboards, and has a realistic 2% gradient, and will be extended to Lake Louise and Field BC. The film has a 2 mile long train, which is pretty much common practice on CP. The prototype is ocluded by billions of pine trees, which block the view of trains at the scenic overlook. Quite an exciting project though, and trainhandling is difficult.

No actual Trainz were hurt in the filming of this production.

The Horseshoe Curve route will have a video also...very soon !

How To Create A Video

Hey can anyone tell me what I need to do to create a Trainz YouTube video? Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

That does help some, but I really need to know how to record the video while in Trainz.

Get you a little program called Fraps. There is a free version but the payed one works better and you don't have a label at the top of the screen. You can then use the windows movie maker to put the clips together and renden them to whatever format you want.

Yes, Can anybody help me on how to take PHOTOS in trainz? I'll tell u how to make vids if u help me with photos...............

Ok......go to fraps.com...................

There are many ways. Here's the one I use:

In trainz before you take the photo, hide the switches (if you use hints) and the hud (f5? I think) and hit the print screen key. Get a free image manipulating program (like irfanview) and paste the image into irfanview. Resize the image if you want but most importantly, save that image as jpeg.

Then find a free filehosting site (hostthenpost or imageshack: the latter is my favourite). Upload your image and then cut and paste the forum code, post into a thread here and there you go!

Thank you for that supersonic high speed test track cab ride on the Pueblo CO test facility :p That circular route is almost as big as my "Horseshoe" DEM, 10,000 baseboards.

US route, US traffic on right hand side of road. UK Barriers, that would explain things as they are set to stop traffic approaching on the left.
If you read carefully, it clearly states that I didn't build that route. I also stated that no matter if it is a route from someone else or one I build, sometimes the cars stop and sometimes they don't. I have since learned that it has something to do with how close the road vertices are to the crossing.

That route is one that either I downloaded or was included with TRS 2009 and called Tidewater Point which I understand was included with TRS 2004. You will have to ask the builder why he/she used Uk barriers on a US route.

Thanks to everyone who helped me get started with videos. Here are my first videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAeTQJVnbb4
