Trainz UTC - Standard-Narrow Gauge Interfacing.

I've got some maps where there is 36" NG track on one end and Standard Gauge on the
other end. Lacking some examples of three rail multi-guage tracks, is there a way to
connect tracks of differing gauges in a prototypical manner?

Thanks, Gang!

It is obviously not possible to directly connect different gauges in real life. What is possible in Trainz is to lay the broad gauge track and then lay the narrow gauge track between the broad gauge rails for four rail track or slide the narrow gauge track sideways so that one rail lines up with the adjacent broad gauge rail for three rail. As long as you ensure that none of the track vertices connect, Trainz will use them as separate tracks.

You will have found already that Trainz does not worry about gauge, it is quite happy with any loco or car on any gauge.

Thanks, Peter! I'll have to try that four-rail method next time I'm working on the route! I have noticed that Trainz is not picky about 3ft trains on standard gauge and vice versa! Sometimes when I'm testing a narrow gauge route, I'll use
a regular train too.

Thanks!
