Hi,

I just purchased TS3 for my iPhone14, and it seems to work fairly well. I do have a couple of questions, though:

1) Are there any maps for the routes? If I have never run a route, I have not a clue as to where I'm going. This is especially a problem, if I am doing a quick drive.

2) Is there a way to do an AI session? If there is, how? And refer back to my comment about quick drive in #1, above.

3) There seems to be three cameras - cab, chase, and roaming. I can switch back and forth between the cab and the chase cameras, but the roaming camera seems to only show up when it feels like it. Is there any way to control it?

Hi Bob,

Great to read of somebody else enjoying Trainz 3. I also got to it just recently and already bought some DLCs. Unfortunately I have no shadows on my iPad Pro 2018 (maybe because of the too old A12X CPU). I'm still hoping for updates of the core app...

Regarding 1): I don't know of any "external" maps (except for zooming out, which is quite tedious)
Reg 2): you can long press on the train to get some AI options. This offers very limited AI possibilities (basically only letting the train be driven by the AI, but you cannot define a target for the AI driver)
Reg 3): pressing on the top row or the landscape (not always working) should offer you "detach camera". Note: for some ProTrain DLCs there is also the very nice passenger view camera (it is basically the cab camera re-used for a passenger railcar) - I can fully recommend all ProTrain/3DZUG DLCs for their top quality

Hello Andreas,
I’m not sure if this is what you meant by zoom, but I found if you “pinch” the screen, you will get the map. Bonus - you also get a map options table, where you can choose what you want to appear on the map!
