My point was that maybe because Drive To works differently than Navigate to, maybe if TLR used Drive to instead then industry's current script would not need to be changed. Then again, the difference might make it not workable.

The only difference that i know of is....

Drive to make the consist drive directly to the destination.

Navigate to the consist can use ANY route to the Destination.

That is not the only difference. Like I tried to say, you can use navigate to without specifying load/unload point at the industry. When in auto dispatcher, if I hover my cursor over the navigate to command it will not show the load point. For an example, if the auto dispatcher sends a Navigate to Lumber Mill Basic it will not specify where to load at Lumber Mill Basic.

I must be totally thick, as on the ECML i cannot even get the auto dispatch to send my passenger consist from Skegness to York non stop.

Hi, strangely, I opened up the ECML in the latest beta version yesterday. After quite some time, the Dispatcher couldn’t find many routes to use.
I’ve discovered that while it will list a station, it won’t find lines to it if the station is one of the older construction where it consists of a stand alone platform (ie no track built in) using a track object (the yellow cross one - I misremember the name!).
It also has problems with very old composite objects like the airport when I suspect its industry.gs file uses obsolete statements - they create the red bug reports.

The resolution is for the asset to be updated, but N3V reckon the author should do that and the old Auran assets are basically abandoned.

Update!
York Platform 14 will run Doncastle loop line:-
Doncastle platform 4
York P 14
Doncastle P 3
Retford P 1
Grantham P 4
Peterborough P4
Grantham p 2
Retford P 2

Newcastle has a loop line - to other Newcastle platforms!

And now my driver has reached York Platform 16 and can't find any lines!

Consist will find it's way from Skegness to York 9 on a navigate to command, no problem.
So surely TLR pathing is more sophisticated than that, even in this early version.

Hi, "Navigate To" commands seem to work to industries and triggers, however the TLR seems to look for only interactive stations - at least, based on some testing I've carried out.
On the ECML, I have one consist running under automatic from Peterborough platform 3. Examining the other station list in the TLR shows that most stations/platforms have problems (e.g. loops from one platform to another; no lines found).

It's rather disappointing...

So Colin, isn't something like the AJS invisible stations, a viable destination then for the auto dispatcher.
All i get is messages saying, station not reachable, no suitable rolling stock, no lines or crazy things like Kings X only gives destinations on the LT lines and back to Kings X.
Not one line available to York or Newcastle or Edinburgh.
