Not sure what version or patch you are referring too. The latest auto-patch for TS2010 still hasn't been sorted by NV3, so you'll have to patch manually. What's your current build number?
You should be able to find the latest patch somewhere within these threads... - http://forums.auran.com/trainz/forumdisplay.php?f=2
Just download it, then install it... Depending on which patch you are referring to, it might take awhile to install. Just let it do it's thing...
Cheers, Mac...

sean-lee I have exactly the same problem, the patch fails to unpack and aborts cant even run 2010 now its totaly screwed up :'(

Have you checked that you are trying to install the correct patch/service pack for your current build??? What is your current build?

When installing the latest patch you have to tell it where your Trainz program is on your computer. Click the small square circled in the image below and enter you Trainz path.

Note the patcher says wrong version but that is caused by me bringing up the patcher after the patch has been installed.

Hi, I have the same problem, I can run from the Content Manager only.
Had a power outage while installing the patch, will not re-install and have no idea how to uninstall.
Seems I will have to reinstall the game but have no idea where my routes etc are on the computer.
Hours (many) spent working on routes will be lost if I make a wrong move :(

Unless you installed it anywhere else it will be in Program files\Auran\TS2010. Your data will be in the UserData\local folder, just copy the local folder somewhere safe.
Note: it will be Program Files x86 if you are Vista or Win7 64 bit.

May be a good idea in future to back up all your data somewhere safe, preferably on a different drive, DVD, CD, memory stick or similar.

re uninstall

I have the userdata and bin folders on my desktop, will they be sufficient, and ok to uninstall?

Thanks all, sp1, 2, 3 installed and all content restored.
Just ran a Mountain hauling 2k tonne of coal from Fort William to Mallaig with foul weather applied, not a glitch. (Try it sometime, keeping to the speed limit :0).
All mods to ECML and Cajon Pass are still there.
Breathing easily...
