Trainz Patcher error

I was finally able to purchase a new computer to run the Trainz 2010 Engineers Edition that I had purchased last year. However, it desperatly needs updates, 3000 of them. When I try loading the patches it gives me an error stating that it is "Unable to determine Trainz installation path. Requesting user to specify installation location." When i select the "Trainz.exe" file it requires I get "This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted" While I know thing like this happen, I would hope to recieve help so I could operate it without messages about updates.

Thanks

are you using the autopatcher? it has never, nor will it ever work. you have to manually download the patch. what build number do you have?

I figured that too. I just wanted to un-confuse him so that we could address each issue separately. Join date is November, 2009 though.

I think he's trying to say that there are 3000 updates he can download, but CM returns an "obsolete version" error and proceeds with the patching procedure, which is inherently faulty.

When you open the Launcher, look at the bottom-right corner and read off the five-digit number.

I hope Geico is your insurance carrier. My daughter and son in law both work for Geico locally. Great company to work for if you have any kind of work ethic.
