Get Photoshop, its a worthwhile investment, and has all the features you could ever need to reskin locomotives and rolling stock

I am trying to locate the Thomas stuff for you...in the meantime...see: "Cascaderailroad" post (next page) for a new paint scheme

It's a bit pricey though, Paintshop pro is cheaper and does most things, GIMP and paint.net are free.

I do have a copy of painshop but I do not know what file i need to open or where to look plz can some one tell me what file i need to open and to reskin engines and where it might be on my comp thanks from Darren

Darren, it depends on the model, who made it and what their file system naming protocall is.
Many Trainz models have a graphics file named "main". It refers to the main map for the textures. A complicated model may have several or more texture files, you just have to open them, see where they apply to the model and experiment. WHERE the files are depends on which version of Trainz you are using. Using 2006 and later, use CMP or CM2 to clone a version, then open it in explorer to look at the files. Previous versions of Trainz have a different filing system.
