#Trainz chat and how to get there

QUOTE Most people would not know that by loggong in and not chat all you do is slow down the Auran servers and bandwidth for those trying to use the DLS or DDL.

Bit selfish really

Sorry to BUST your bubble there bearcat But i do belive that the DLS is in the US an Chat room is in AUS and i allso belive it's on a differnt server then the forum.:D

From what I gather, Electro is spot on. I realise that when you checked in we were in a bit of a lull, but I also know that even if there is no activity in the main chat, there is at least one PM session going on. Yes, sometimes it gets quiet, but would you rather have more intelligent conversations, or random and inconsequential babble choking out any semblance of the above?

My 2 cents as a one-year chatter.

Thanks for pointing this information out. I sure several people would be interested enough to find their way there.

Thanks again.

Yes, a few of us hang around in there.

It's generally quiet, but it would be nice to see a few more people in there :)

I generally go by Zs301 (or ZecMurphy :) ) in there :)

I'm Here!

I have never seen anyone to exchange trains with.

How to use iportal: When in a driver session click on the find object button and search for a iportal. Once you have found on click it and your camera will automatically go to do. Once you see it, CTRL right click it and from there you can edit it to work with other people!

How to connect to me: Send me a FR using ichat in TRS2006. I will except all FR! When I am online we can use the iportal and im usually in TideWater South. Talk to me with ichat so we can figure it out! Thanks and I hope to play with you soon! :D

Auran Chat / Trainz Chat

We need an Auran Chat that is easy to get to. I have been trying for hours with Mirc, and it just does not work easily...and sometimes a dialog box is not present to type into.

The forum is a great place but it is so flooded with the same redundant same questions over and over again.

Allmost all of these multitudes of redundant questions could be answered in Chat.

Please IM me with any Auran Chat information.

Sometimes I wonder why more people don't use Yahoo IM as a chat window when running Trainz

What I never understood is why the in game chat #trainz is not the same as the IRC server #trainz. I know a bit about raw IRC and I don't understand why they did not created a basic IRC client and have it connect to the #trainz channel in on irc.auran.com. I would actually use the in game chat if it connected me to the irc server. As it is, when ever I alt+tab out of 2010 I end up with missing baseboards, missing trucks, and trains that will not moved unless I close and re-open the program.

Trainz Chatroom

I am having AI difficulties, stopping a train on an open track, and a chat room for Trainz would provide immediate answers and rapid help; as the forums sometimes you get no answer, or it is a 3 day delay.

I finally (with difficulty) got to the Mirc #Trainz (english) chat...but I believe that only a handfull of people know how to get there, so it is a little bit useless.

Trainz desperately needs an easy to get to chatroom where thousands of people can get immediate answers to their questions.

Is there a Trainz Chatroom where there are alot of members online ? And how do we get there ?

Standing at the wayside waving a RED flag at cascaderailroad's train, don't forget to protect your rear while your stopped on the main. :)

I remember when I first signed onto IRC and no less than 55 nicks on the list. I got instant help on getting my Trainz up and running. I would pop in the #Trainz channel anytime of the day or night, and among the 55+ users someone would pop in to ask if I need help. :)
Or the time that Trainz 6 came out. we could Chat via a chat window panel in the cab of your loco. That was cool.
Sadly none of that go's on anymore :( that was way back in 2001.

Oh to the good ole days of trainz - We miss you "Harry Potter" Alistair Dussart RIP

Why don't we all meat up in the chatroom at a certain time each week/month/whatever.....

There is almost always someone in the chatroom; feel free to pop in whenever you want! With the internationality of the community having a specific time doesn't really work out.
