Trainz and Thanksgiving, a Cornucopia of Gratitude!

Euphod

No Friend requests please
In the US, at least, Thanksgiving is a time set aside for giving thanks for the blessings in our lives, gathering with family and friends, feasting if able, and expressing gratitude for the good tidings we enjoy and sometimes take for granted. We all know you love and appreciate your families and your homes and your work (if employed), but what about Trainz (specifically and only in this thread) are you grateful for? A new feature? Perhaps someone who has helped you above and beyond? A certain piece of content or content provider? Let's all say "thanks" to those we may have neglected for the bounty that is Trainz. Let's acknowledge the "high points" of the program for a change. Let's pretend we are all at the same table, and give thanks for what we are grateful for related to Trainz.

I'd start by bowing my head and saying "Thank you for all the fine people who gather here and share ideas and camaraderie and good humor. Thank you for the passionate people who make the program better each time it is released! Thank you for those who have joined us in the past, and for those who will come in the future, and for those who can no longer join us at all. Thank you for the payware and freeware, and the creators of both. I'd like to offer a special thank you to those creators that allow their work to be multiplied by hackers and modders and reskinners alike! Thank you for the advances Trainz has made over the years, and the cohesive community that gathers here each day."

I know some are rolling their eyes right now, but that's okay, you'll understand someday. I hope the others will join me in goodwill, and tell us what you are grateful for in Trainz. I wish you all good tidings, and hope that your blessings multiply like...

...like reskins of Dave Snow's Auto Zone Store!;)

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I would like to start off by saying thank you to the Trainz community for all the help they have offered and the warm welcome given this newbie. I would especially like to thank Ish6 for revisiting his "City Terminal" a.k.a. Cincinnati Union Terminal and adding the missing concourse and platforms :Y:

I would like to give a very big thank you to Ed and Dave Snow for there wonderful 'nightmode' creations that turn this great Train Simulator into a 24 hour experience. I also would like to give the same big thank you to the Australian creators, especially DavidO, Natvander, Vinnybarb and others for there excellent Aussie rollingstock. Olegkhim for the best animated turnouts that are brilliant and Pofig and Jancvis for there graet folliage.

Thank you all you have enhanced my Trainz experience.

Bob:)

I would like to thank (Auran) / N3V for the enjoyment I have experienced for over 10 years.

And thanks to the content creators who have enhanced the Trainz experience for all who play Trainz.

Also, thank you to the Trainz Community who share their knowledge and help to all of us.

We must also thank those in the Community who are not with us today for all their contributions.

Lastly, and most important to me, I thank my virtual friends here in the Community who add humor, intelligence and friendship.

Regards to all and Happy Thanksgiving,
Ron

A very thoughtful and inspiring thread. First, I would like to thank you. I number you among my friends here and would like to thank you for all the wisdom and humor that you have enlightened us with.

Thanks to Auran for bringing us Trainz to begin with and to N3V for keeping it alive and flourishing. I'd also like to thank Chris and Zec for their dedication to the work and their enjoyment of it.

Thanks to all of the content creators for their talent and willingness to share it with us, not only in their creations, but in their willingness to help us less learned in our pursuit to create.

Thanks to the moderators for keeping this forum civil and on target. I assume that they don't get paid for the many hours that they devote to this service and we should all be thankful to them.

Thanks to the many friends that I've made here on the forums. It's a very special community and I think that I am better for it.

Mike

Thank you to all the content creators, free and payware, who make this game so much better with all their add-ons. thanks especially to Dinorious-redundicus and all the creators of great US buildings and trackside objects, without who My routes would be high and dry (they'll get relased at some point:o)

Thank you to the great people of this forum, without whom the simulator we know and love would be half of what it is now (especially ed, who never fails to make me laugh:D). Thank you to the friends i have here...it gets lonely when you're such a train-lover and you can't talk about it, for no one knows what the heck you're talking about...thankfully, that's what this place is so useful for. And finally, thank you to all who are forced to put up with my bad jokes around here:hehe:

What Ron said....... + 6

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all our Trainzy friends across the pond, we thank you for your ideas, humor, technical know how, answering our dumb questions, and all major contributions, both creative and verbal, towards our 'lil game.
I don't know what we'd do without ya'll.......:hehe:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Careful now, all that cheese will bind you up and you'll end up full of it!

WAY too late for that! I've been full of it long before my love for cheese....:p

You guys have a great day, spend it with your Families and friends and give thanks for what's really important!

Enjoy it!
The entire JR team
