Trainz 2010, USB pedal

Hi,

Is it possible that I can control the speed of the train with a pedal for a pc.

It is connected with USB.
Thank you.

Martijn

You probably could, using some 3rd party keyboard macro type software.

I'm not sure why you'd want to though, it's not especially any more realistic - almost all, if not all, trains wordwide are controlled by hand controllers for the throttle and brakes, nothing like car accelerator pedals.

When trains have 'pedals' they're always either for the vigilance device, the horn, or both - of course, you could use the same keyboard macro software to simulate the keys for vigilance devices (usually space for the russian models that implement it, or alt-space I think for the AWS mapping in trainz itself - although of course, such keys can be remapped, I have AWS on 'insert' for example)

Hello thank you for your reaction. A joystick is realisticer then a pedal, is that also possible?

Recognize trainz automatically the joystick?

Thanks.

I have a USB throttle I plugged in, but Trainz didn't see it automatically. I think I could make it with macros and other software but I am note sure.

Thank you all.

Ill try to buy raildriver, the price is high but i like Trainz so much. Maybe i'll buy it.

Have a nice day.

Hi my country Netherlands/holland does nut sell the rail driver.
On the website from rail driver they say they don't send outside VS.

Does anyone have an idea? On eBay they cost more than the official website.

Lol:D

Drop them a mail and ask if they have any overseas distributors. I think mine came into Sweden from Germany.

EDIT: Look at this link!! It answers your questions! http://www.raildriver.com/purchase/distribution.php

It costs €199 + €49 = 249 euro. Shipping costs are too much, but thanks for your link.:D

That shipping cost sounds outrageous for getting a relatively small and light package from Germany across the border to the Netherlands. You don't happen to have friends or relations in Germany that could act as receivers? People that you can drive over to to collect the package?

No unfortunately not. I know nobody in germany. I really want this, but I find the shipping ridiculously expensive.

I certainly agree! But why don't you get in touch with the distributor and discuss other ways/means of shipping it. They may not be using the cheapest way of shipping. There may be alternatives - mail, TNT, UPS, ...

Get in touch with them and discuss the problem! For them one sale is better than no sale!
