Trainz 2010 Spontaneous Tree Growth

As a fan (and owner) of all easch series, this is a great improvement over 2009 with more US based content for me ;-) to enjoy. I am having a small issue with the skeleton (right term?) of vegitation growing out of the ground and then shrinking back into the ground as I pass by. It is quite strange and happens in all views of both the OpenGL and Direct X modes. It is a minor distraction from the "immersion factor" which i am hoping is some small setting that I have missed.

Thanx again for a great product!

Spec:
i7-930 Intel (Gigabyte m-board if it matters)
12G RAM
ATI 5770 with current catalyst drivers
WIndows 7 Professional 64 bit install

I heard that there are some plants (for real life) that when a person touches it, it wilts or whatever........

Don't call it a curse, be happy! You have found the first Trainz wilter (What i call the plants)!

Hi makindle,

First, welcome to the Forums and to Trainz.

You can disable Treez in TS2010 by using the following instructions:

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showpost.php?p=606367&postcount=2

"Removing the file TS2010\bin\plugins\TNISpeedTree.dll will completely disable speedtrees. Don't delete the file, just move it somewhere safe. It will need to be put back where it belongs before applying any future service pack(s)...

Andy"

The link above, posted by Dermmy is helpful.

Have fun,:)

Looks like you don't have any of the service packs for 2010 installed. What is your build number. That was a problem that was fixed in SP1 for 2010 for people with ATI cards.

I should fix that original post. The fix does NOT work in TS10SP2, where removing that file in effect breaks Driver...
