I've recently bought Trainz 2010 Engineers Edition and firstly I'm having a problem with the resolution. I'm running it on Vista Home Basic, 2GB RAM, NVidia 8 series but the resolution keeps changing back and fro between full screen and windowed and some options become unselectable (sic) in Surveyor mode as a result. This resolution switching happens whenever I load up a route, such as the ECML, and select one of the options in Surveyor mode. Any idea as to why this is happening would be great.
Secondly, how do I add a train to a route? I'm trying to get a train, such as a HST, to appear at Platform 5 at Cleethorpes but some trains don't appear (instead there's a black box in the preview window for the HST in Quick Drive mode). I managed to place a MK1 consist at Cleethorpes, but I cannot seem to find any other train to haul it. It sounds pretty dim but I am struggling to add trains to specific locations. I have no trouble 'jumping' to locations such as Cleethorpes or Doncaster on the ECML route, but from then on, I'm pretty much stuck.
If I try to add trains using F7 in Surveyor mode, the resolution problem, as documented above, happens and I can't move the scroll bar on the 'Add Trains' window.
