TRAINZ 2009 Content Manager

I don't know if this has already been discussed so bear with me.

I have TRAINZ 2009 and it working OK, but for some reason Content Manager won't open.

I've even try to open it via the folders and still nothing, even when I tried the administrator.

Please can someone give me some advice?

To help you: I have Windows 7 and I have to use Direct –X because I can’t find an OpenGL update to download.

No error messages. I just clicked the button 'Content' and nothing happens.

I know it takes time for it to load but more than 5 minutes? Not good! LOL

OK Mark - I will need to ask a few questions to help diagnose the issue.

Firstly, is there a 5-digit number on the Launcher screen? If there is, I will need to know it.

OK - can I ask if yours is a Just Trains version? (look for the logo on the box if it's a boxed version).

OK - to help sort this issue, a patch or two may be required.

Before advising on that though, I need to check if any items failed when the Trainz Diagnostic Tool ran the first time (if unsure, the Trainz Diagnostic Tool can be found in C:/Program Files/TrainzSimulator2009/Bin/TrainzDiag.exe or C:/Program Files (x86)/TrainzSimulator2009/Bin/TrainzDiag.exe if you installed into the default location.

Somethings wrong. I ran the Trainz Diagnostic Tool but when it come to 'Video Driver's Age' it stops working.

That's very bad, right?

Did a box appear saying it stopped working? If so, something very strange has happened. See if you can read what the OpenGL result is though.

OK - I see the problem. For some reason, your graphics card is not being picked up correctly, which is affecting TrainzDiag as well as Content Manager.

Looking at it, it's an NVidia card. Nvidia have an auto-detection tool that will help install the relevant driver - www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-gb.

I'll give it a try.

Is it safe to use? I just don't want to get any viruses, that's all.

The link I've provided is an official NVidia link - as long as you don't click any adverts there's no reason why it should cause problems.
