I just went back on TRS2009, and now its all [messed] up, like the words are now boxes, even if I go on a Map,it'll have lots of boxes on it, and it changes every 10 secs.I have checked If I do have a virus and there is no virus, so Auran, [what] IS GOING ON?
IS THERE A SOLUTION?
THERE BETTER BE.

TickyTacky,
You may want to note that your expectations on Beta software, seems to be very high. Beta software is software that isn't regarded as complete. The software is merely used for testing purposes to remove any errors that are outstanding.
Therefore, everything won't work first time round. This get reported to Auran, then is fixed in another build which is then sent out to test.
The other problem you may have, is you don't have a working BETA key, for TRS2009 Beta, you must have a working BETA key.
If you do have a key, what are your system specs? Are you running Windows Vitsa? If so, right click on the TRS2009 icon and click properties, click compatiblity and then check "Run as Administrator", then press OK and re-enter your key.
Have you updated your drivers? If you have, what is the date on them? (Bear in mind, anything older than 1 month is considered old!)

(You may want to note that a lack of system specs, doesn't help any of us, understand the nature of your problem, we aren't mind readers!)

Edit, the beta has an expiry date, it will not work after I think, the 7th December 2008.

It's very hard to figure out what might have happened Ticky Tacky. It sounds like Trainz was working fine at one stage (since you say you have gone back and it is not working). so that would indicate that the problem is at your end.

The interesting thing about software is that it is seen a little bit like black magic. If you turned your TV on once and it worked and then you turned it on again and the picture was all snowy, your first thought wouldn't be "ABC TV have broken something". Your first thought would be..."I'd better check to see if the aerial has become unplugged."

A map with boxes on it isn't a description that helps us much. It could mean that someone has placed 3D objects shaped like boxes on the map. It could also mean a graphics glitch where the textures are shaped like squares (I've seenthis one on ATI cards). A virus is an unlikely cause of graphics problems, but out of date video drivers is a more likely cause.

This is where the fun starts. With a TV they never say "update your video drivers" hence the aura of black magic around software/hardware.

All I can suggest is:
- reboot (works wonders in most cases)
- update graphics drivers (2nd best option)
- reinstall Trainz (works for certain circumstances)

Failing that, send screenshots to the Beta Test Center with as many useful details as possible.

Good luck

Tony

While you are responding to this user Tony, is there any possiblity you may be able to filter out the excessive fruity language please?

I have a question on 2009 beta. I can not seem to get the tool bar. Under views there is no show tool bar option. Any idea on what I am missing?
